LG CNS is to engage in a joint enterprise portal business with Korean small-and-medium-sized companies which are specialized in enterprise portal (EP) solutions.
On November 2nd at its head office in Seoul, LG CNS signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the joint sales of its EP solution ‘iKEP4.0’ with Daou Tech Inc., Cyberdigm, and Saehan Information Systems Co., Ltd. LG CNS is to distribute iKEP4.0 to these three partners, which will expand the EP solutions business through small-and-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
LG CNS has also decided to provide solutions technology and website maintenance through Biztech & Ektimo (BnE), one of LG CNS subsidiaries specializing in solutions.
Launched in early 2011, iKEP4.0 is based on the corporate portal iKEP1.0, which was launched by LG CNS in 2001. It has been optimized for corporate innovation by reflecting sustained upgrades, Web2.0, and the social network services (SNS) trend. In particular, LG CNS developed iKEP4.0 with a focus on creating a package solution for corporations. It is based on the ‘Internal Solution-based Business Consolidation’ policy, which was announced in 2010.
The three partners are expected to further expand their respective business areas through this MOU by introducing this latest EP solution. With its strongpoint in solutions distribution, Daou Tech Inc. will add iKEP to its solutions lineup to increase its customer base. Cyberdigm will provide its document management solution, ‘Destiny EDM’, and ‘Saehan Information Systems Co., Ltd. its email and e-payment solution, ‘XFUSION ECP’, in respectively optimized bundle forms. LG CNS is expected to distribute its EP solution beyond its conventional customer base of large corporations and government organizations to the SMB market, based on the new partners’ business capacities.
LG CNS said, “This MOU is a typical joint growth model which enhances synergy by combining the strengths of medium and large-sized companies. We at LG CNS will endeavor to expand our domestic and overseas markets by positively engaging in this cooperative relationship.”
