  • Establishment of e-Passport Management System
    By establishing electronic passport operation system in compliance with fundamental international standards requested by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and International Standardization Organization (ISO), we achieved stable and effective passport administration system.

Service Offering

- To settle US visa exemption agreement, we need to establish electronic passport operation system which complies with fundamental international standards required by ICAO and International Standardization Organization (ISO).

- To issue e-passport with existing integrated information management system of passport, H/W, S/W, N/W and security systems are introduced and application program for stable and effective passport administration process is developed.

How We Helped

- By introducing advanced new passport integrated information management system and establishing the infrastructure, recovery system and non-stop service for 24 hours and 365 days are provided.

- For settlement of centralized issue system (26 Nov 2007) and public convenience, the passport receipt agent is expanded to over 250 locations.

- A Key Management System (KMS) for bio-information management and security management with no-contact chip is established.

- To achieve security and international compliance of electronic passport, PKI system and ICAO PKD connection are established.

- To realize in-time order reflecting demands, high-season demand estimation model (analysis and estimation model by time-series and regression model) is prepared for order system configuration.

Differentiated Service for Customer

- Enhanced public service quality is achieved by improving current management system for passport issue fee payment (e.g. change of current revenue stamp attachment method) and introducing Internet booking system for application.

- We provide proper business system for overseas office environment (broad diplomatic network installation status, passport issuance delegation status, etc.) and improve the payment management system for consular income in overseas offices.

- We complete service throughout entire life cycle of electronic passport with IC chip access control, centralized authorization and electronic passport history management by the Ministry of Foreign Affair, and integrated security measures applied for product, issue and destroy phases of electronic passport.

- Considering current workload, we expanded the passport receipt agents (currently 41 sites => 250 sites over the country in city/district/borough units).
