A separate SM chip (or S/W module) for security is installed to a set-top box needed for watching digital broadcasting programs, and STB is connected to the cable network. Then the basic CAS functions are executed after downloading a S/W CAS client image from the server through personal verification. In brief, it is a container that enables the S/W CAS to operate more safely.
