The Coding Genius is LG CNS's signature social contribution program. This program provides adolescents, who will be the primary members of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, an opportunity to experience coding while motivating the participants to explore their dreams and talents through various shared experiences. LG CNS will implement creative and innovative education methods that will develop students' knowledge in computing through courses on software concepts and principles. It will also encourage them to learn and apply the skills they need in order to solve complex problems in everyday life. By signing an MOU with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, LG CNS is taking the lead in promoting the Free School Year System and providing instruction in software education.

Cases for Software Education

As part of their initiatives to nurture the talent of future generations, national governments around the world are actively embracing software education, with advanced nations like the United States and the United Kingdom having completed their implementation of software education as the core component in their formal education curriculum. Korea also implement software education as mandatory courses in the primary and secondary curriculums from 2018, but software education programs tailored to young students as well as the necessary infrastructure for such programs are still lacking in the country. As a responsible corporate citizen, LG CNS has stepped in to bridge the gaps with our expertise in software and software education and is leading this important initiative for our future generations.

Professional Program Design & Review

Our software education programs have been proven for their effectiveness in a review by the Computer Engineering Department of Seoul National University and the Education Engineering Department of Hanyang University. Designed to motivate students, our curriculum places an emphasis on creativity and collaboration, and utilizes interactive and hands-on learning processes to help students develop capabilities required in the IT environment of the future.

Talent Donation of Employees

Our employees volunteer to help students explore career opportunities and plan for the future by serving as instructor and mentor. The program is recognized for providing students with opportunities to gain hands-on experience in the IT industry and find their career goals.

Program Details

For the Free School Year System, LG CNS employees visit middle schools and provide basic software education for one day. The software education curriculum incorporates LG CNS's representative solutions and is composed of Basic Programming, Physical Programming, and Smart Data Lab. College Student Supporters

On a biannual basis, we organize college student supporters as part of our education and communication programs. Students studying in various fields including education and business management as well as computers volunteer to help middle-school students understand software. The program provides college students with opportunities to use their talent for a good cause and understand the true meaning of social contribution.

Continued Operation of Self-initiated Learning Channels

Since offline education only benefit a limited number of students, we are also operating online channels to offer wideranging learning contents. We opened a social contribution blog to develop contents from the perspective of students and to distribute them in webtoon or card news format while offering video-enabled coding education. In so doing, we ensure that even more teens can continue to benefit from software education beyond the limits of time or space.

Performance & Certification

Recognized for the achievements we made through the LG CNS Coding Genius Program, we won the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award at the 2017 Korea Social Contribution Award and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Award for the 2017 Free Semester Best Practice Contest. In April 2018, we were selected as the Educational Partner for Career Exploration by the Ministry of Education. Our Coding Genius Program was recognized for its excellence as it was honored with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Citation at the 2019 Education Donation Awards as well as with the Minister of Health and Welfare Citation at the 2019 Social Contributor Awards.

- If the user requests correction of a personal information error, the Company may not use or provide the user’s personal information until the correction is completed. Moreover, if the incorrect personal information is already provided to a third party, the Company shall send the corrected information to the third party immediately.

The Company operates “cookies” that frequently store and find user information. A cookie refers to a very small text file sent by the server used to operate our website on browser and is stored on local computer hard disks. The Company uses cookies for the following purposes:

Only the personal data protection officers of the Company can be assigned the role of personal information controller. Personal information controllers are given separate passwords that are regularly updated, and they must receive regular training to strengthen and emphasize compliance with the personal information processing policy.

The Company has set up internal standards for system access authority of personal information controllers to manage the granting, changes, and cancellation of access rights. The Company implements measures to manage personal information controllers, such as operating the standards for generating access passwords and managing password change intervals.
If your personal information is lost, leaked, altered, or damaged by the mistake of an internal manager or in any technical or administrative accident, the Company shall immediately notify you of the fact, take appropriate measures, and make the corresponding compensation.
9. Procedure and method for destroying personal information
The Company shall destroy your personal information without delay after achieving the purpose of collecting and using personal information. The Company shall destroy personal information through the following procedure.
