Entry-Level Hiring Process
01 Application Screening

The most important thing in application screening is to complete your application carefully without errors. Simple mistakes occur in more applications than you might expect. Even small errors can lower the credibility of your application, so please check it one more time before submitting.

  • Military Service Category - male applicants sometimes select “Not applicable, female,” or female applicants select “Not completed” or “Exempt.”
  • Education History – please make sure to write it in chronological order. For transfer students, list the school before transfer first, then the school after transfer below it.
  • Academic Records – please distinguish between total credits completed, meaning the total credits earned by graduation, and overall GPA, meaning the cumulative average and full score.
  • Company Applied To – Please ensure the company name is entered accurately before submitting.

  • If there are examples for the personal statement questions, please refer to them when writing.
  • If you do not have any awards, you may write “No awards.”
  • For current employment history, you may enter the application submission date as the end date.
  • If there is a role you are interested in, please write a second preference as well as your first preference.

  1. In addition to the personal statement, please actively use the sections for certifications, work experience, internal and external activities, competitions, and major coursework projects. You can add as many entries as needed for internal and external activities, competitions, and major coursework projects.
  2. For the personal statement, focus less on polished expressions and more on your role, capabilities, and what you learned from experiences related to the role you are applying for. It is also fine to include what you learned from failure.
  3. If you are applying for a development role, please describe your tech stack in detail. This helps us understand your capabilities.
  4. You may apply to multiple LG affiliates, so if there are affiliates you are interested in, please apply to them as well.
  5. There may be heavy traffic right before the deadline, so please submit your application with enough time to spare.
02 LG Way Fit Test (Personality and Aptitude Test)

For LG CNS entry-level employee recruitment, the LG Way Fit Test, LG Group’s common personality and aptitude test, is conducted online. It consists of a personality test and an aptitude test.

For the personality test, please answer consistently based on your own thoughts. Since there are many questions, it is better to answer quickly rather than spend too much time thinking.

The aptitude test may feel tight on time. We recommend marking difficult questions and moving on. It is helpful to solve enough similar questions in advance.

If you have passed the selection process at an LG affiliate within the past year, your previous score will be used without requiring you to take the test again. However, passing criteria may differ by affiliate.

03 First Interview

The first interview is a technical interview, with working-level employees and team leaders attending as interviewers. Based on the resume you submitted, the interview will focus on whether you can perform the role you applied for. Please prepare mainly around experiences related to the role, such as external activities, major coursework projects, and personal projects. It is also helpful to refer to the “What we do” section in the job posting.

The interview is usually conducted online in a multi-applicant, multi-interviewer format. This may vary depending on the role and posting.

  2. A short English interview may be conducted during the interview and may include questions about your self-introduction in English, desired role, and motivation for applying. Those subject to the English interview will be notified in advance, so please check the notice under LG Careers > My Jobs.
  3. Depending on the role, a PT interview based on your personal portfolio may be added.
04 Second Interview

The second interview consists of a personality interview and a job interview. Executives and team leaders from the hiring department attend as interviewers. The interview focuses on whether you can fit well with LG CNS and whether you are a good fit for the hiring organization. It is helpful to prepare your work attitude, motivation for applying, understanding of the company, and long-term career plan in advance.

The interview is conducted online in a one-to-many format, with one applicat and multiple interviewers. This may vary depending on the role and posting.

05 Medical Checkup

After final acceptance, you will undergo a medical checkup. This is a required step, as final acceptance is conditional upon passing the medical checkup. After separate guidance is provided, you can take the checkup at a designated hospital. If you currently have an illness or have had surgery within the past year, such as for cancer, heart or brain disease, fractures, or joint conditions, please bring and submit a doctor’s note to help speed up the processing of your results.

  1. The doctor’s note must include a statement that “there are no restrictions on daily life or work.”
  2. The checkup results will be sent to the company’s hiring representative, and a separate results report will not be sent to the applicant. For inquiries about the results, please contact the representative in charge.

Experienced Professional Hiring Process

03 Interview

The interview consists of an interview with the hiring department and an interview with companywide interview panel members. We coordinate the schedules of applicants and interviewers and guide you to a schedule that is as convenient as possible.

The hiring department interview is attended by the team leader and senior leader of the hiring department. Together, they review whether you have the capabilities required for the position and whether you can fit well into the organization and create synergy with existing team members.

The companywide interview panel interview is attended by interviewers who are experts in the relevant role. This interview focuses on verifying your expertise for the position, so please fully demonstrate your strengths based on your career and experience.

  2. This is not a one-sided evaluation. It is a time for both sides to see whether you can grow together with LG CNS. Please feel free to show who you are.
04 Reference Check

For applicants who pass the interview, a reference check is conducted after receiving the applicant’s prior consent. It is conducted online and takes one to two weeks.

Applicants must designate a total of three referees. Referees will evaluate the applicant’s capabilities, expertise, qualities, attitude, and overall work performance. Please choose people you have worked with for a sufficient period of time so that they can provide an informed evaluation.

05 Compensation Negotiation

After the reference check is completed, compensation negotiation will be conducted depending on the results. We will request materials to understand your current compensation, so please submit the relevant documents in as much detail as possible. Once compensation negotiation is completed, we will coordinate your joining date together.

04 Internship

This is an opportunity to experience LG CNS in advance for at least four to eight weeks. A mentor will be assigned to each team, allowing you to gain hands-on experience with your mentor. You will receive an individual assignment from the leader of your assigned team, and for conversion-track internships, the second interview will be conducted based on this assignment.

The second interview is conducted as a PT interview based on your internship assignment. It also includes a personality interview and a job interview, with executives and team leaders from the department where you completed your internship attending as interviewers.

You will present the assignment you worked on during the internship, so please prepare mainly around what you learned, what you felt, and areas for improvement.

There is no fixed PT format, so please feel free to present your achievements in your own way.
