LG CNS has played a role in solving issues with IT systems closely related to public health and education, such as the COVID-19 vaccination reservation system and EBS (Korea Educational Broadcasting System) online classes, as LG CNS Architecture Optimization Team led the system stabilization.
「KorQuAD」
The Korea Question Answering Dataset (KorQuAD) consists of essential learning data to create various AI services, such as AI speakers and AI chatbots. LG CNS is contributing to the development of AI technology and the creation of an open ecosystem by providing free learning data consisting of 100,000 Q&A sets so that anyone can use KorQuAD for free.

「AI Genius」
AI Genius Academy selects students with visions and talents in the SW/AI field to provide them with differentiated new IT education and mentoring, and directly helps them design future career paths through AI Creative Project.
In partnership with the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education, LG CNS provided education to over 21,000 students by 2024. The program is gradually expanding to schools in remote and rural areas.
AI Genius is incorporated into the regular class hours of middle schools, where a particular grade of students do not need to take test and being not graded. They are taught with the basics of AI that students must know during the six classes a day.
Middle school students can create not only AI chatbots and AI autonomous cars, but also services using Data.
We operate customized programs for students with disabilities who have less opportunity of SW education.
It consists of learning materials and programs that students can directly experience, such as △ Understanding AI through Teachable Machine △ Creating your own images using Generative AI △ Exploring AI-powered self-driving cars
LG CNS is continuously discovering ways to bridge the gap between social groups who have opportunity of SW education and who have not, by expanding the scope of beneficiaries.

AI Genius, recognized with its excellency by receiving citation from the Ministry of Health and Welfare and Donation for Education Award Coding Genius, the predecessor of AI Genius, received the citation from the Minsitry of Health and Welfare and the Education Donation Award from the the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Education.
In 2017, in the first year of its launch, it was awarded by the Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of Education in the Contest for Best Practices in the Free Semester Program.
In 2023, we were honored with the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the Government Awards for Contributions to Information Culture.
The following year, AI Genius was selected as an educational donation career experience certified institution by the Ministry of Education, proving its excellence.

- Through mentoring by LG CNS employees, AI education specialists, and experts in autonomous driving and generative AI, students are provided with future career guidance and firsthand professional insights.
- The AI Open Class offers diverse and specialized content to high school students across Korea who are eager to learn about AI. The curriculum covers fundamental principles and concepts of AI, generative AI, Python programming, and physical computing. Students learn through instructional videos and hands-on assignments, and they participate in live classes for real-time Q&A sessions.
- The AI Creative Project provides advanced-level AI education through project-based learning. Students choose their own topics, plan AI-driven projects, and engage in various activities to develop and complete their final outputs.
- AI Genius Academy hosts the Challenge Day to let students share the final project results. The Challenge Day provides opportunities for students to learn from failure, grow through the process, and feel achievement. We also support them to encourage one another and prepare for a greater future.
