LG CNS takes part in “Japan IT Week Autumn” in Chiba, Tokyo, from October 23 to 25

The company has signed partnership agreements to collaborate with seven Japanese IT corporations, including Valtes, to expand the “PerfecTwin” business in Japan

LG CNS aims to support Japanese corporate clients in successfully migrating to SAP ERP through its testing solution, which utilizes real transaction data.

LG CNS, a leading DX (Digital Transformation) company, today announced the official launch of ‘PerfecTwin ERP Edition’, an automated testing solution utilizing real transaction data, in Japan. This marks the solution’s second global market expansion, following its introduction in the U.S.

LG CNS showcased the ‘PerfecTwin ERP Edition’ at ‘Japan IT Week Autumn,’ Japan’s largest IT exhibition, currently taking place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from October 23 to 25.

LG CNS plans to offer both ‘PerfecTwin ERP Edition’ and ‘PerfecTwin’ in the Japanese market. Along with its participation in the exhibition, LG CNS is bolstering partnerships with Japanese IT corporations to expand the distribution of the PerfecTwin solution lineup in Japan. As part of this effort, LG CNS signed a partnership agreement with Japanese IT corporation ‘Valtes’ on October 16. Through Valtes’s local network and business expertise, LG CNS aims to expand its ‘PerfecTwin’ operations in the Japanese IT market. Valtes, an IT corporation specializing in software testing to enhance quality, is a key player in the Japanese market. Notably, it was the first company in Japan to be designated as a ‘Global Partner’ by the International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB)1), the top global certification body for software testing.

Alongside Valtes, LG CNS has formed partnerships with a total of seven local IT corporations in Japan, including CEC Customer Service Ltd. and Widetec, to further expand its business in the region.

LG CNS’s latest ‘PerfecTwin ERP Edition2)‘ is an automated testing solution that utilizes real transaction data to ensure successful system launches of SAP ERP systems. LG CNS has developed this edition by specializing its existing ‘PerfecTwin3)‘ for SAP ERP systems. To support this, LG CNS has formed a strategic partnership with SAP. The edition helps corporate clients migrating from SAP ECC4) to SAP S/4HANA5) launch with a nearly zero-defect rate.

PerfecTwin ERP Edition utilizes a significant volume of real transaction data from the existing ERP system, rather than relying on a small data sample6), to ensure the proper functionality of the new ERP system. Millions of actual cases are automatically replicated and consistently compared and validated in the new ERP system. This method significantly enhances the quality and reliability of ERP systems by identifying potential defects that are not easily detectable by humans. As ERP systems are closely connected to the corporation’s essential business operations, the PerfecTwin ERP Edition ensures seamless compatibility and performance.

The ‘PerfecTwin’ solution has gained recognition for its technology in the Korean market, serving over 100 corporate clients across various sectors, including manufacturing, telecommunications, distribution, and services, as well as financial institutions such as the Bank of Korea and NH Card. It was recently employed in a project to upgrade Shinhan Bank’s system to a next-generation banking platform, proving its effectiveness. In April, LG CNS presented PerfecTwin at the ‘2024 IT Week Spring’ at Tokyo Big Sight, drawing interest from potential corporate clients.

Global market research firm Grand View Research projects that the size of Japan’s IT services market will expand at an annual rate of 9.8% from 2024 to 2030, reaching $135.1 billion (approximately KRW 185 trillion) by 2030. Furthermore, Japan’s closeness to South Korea enables swift and effective collaboration as well.

“We have confirmed the business potential in the Japanese market by presenting the PerfecTwin solution lineup at Japan IT Week in both spring and fall this year,” stated Min Bae, head of the Security & Solutions Business division at LG CNS. “We aim to provide differentiated client values to assist Japanese corporate clients in migrating their SAP ERP systems more seamlessly and safely with the PerfecTwin ERP Edition.”
